Funk Bottoms Wildlife Area Restoration
This 1,536-acre wildlife area in northeastern Ohio is in portions of Wayne and Ashland counties.The area lies in the glaciated central hills region of Ohio, with flat to moderately rolling topography. The vast majority of the wildlife area consists of seasonally flooded moist soil meadows and bottomland hardwoods. Wooster, Ohio. 10/21/2024
Rotary Riverside Restoration
A former agricultural site along the Maumee River is transformed into a working landscape of hummocks, hollows, and wetlands that reduce nutrient pollution while providing fish and wildlife habitat. Napoleon, Ohio. 11/11/2022

Maumee State Forest, Blue Creek Restoration
The headwaters of Blue Creek are located within a globally rare Oak Openings ecosystem. Portions of the creek had suffered decades of damage from surrounding agricultural practices, ditching, and the maintenance of an adjacent golf course. The historically straightened creek lacked natural morphology, flootplain connectivity, and habitat. The Nature Conservancy sought Biohabitats’ help in restoring Blue Creek. Swanton, Ohio. 11/03/2023
